in the State House of Representatives
on May 1, 2014, by a vote of 49-86
. Purpose: The Dickinson Amendment to S.252 would have moved the date by which the Administration is required to present a funding plan for Green Mountain Care (single payer) or hand over all information they have compiled to that point from January 15, 2015 to October 1, 2014. .
Analysis:Act 48, which establishes Green Mountain Care and Vermont’s path to a single payer healthcare system by 2017, required the Shumlin Administration to present a funding plan for the program by January 15, 2013. In violation of the law, they never have. Those voting YES on this amendment tried to force the Administration’s to comply with the law and to share information with the public. Those voting NO are abetting the Administration’s violation of the original law. .
This vote just confirms that the majority of our Representatives do not believe in following the Law. They have all aided Governor Shumlin in violating the law they passed. Vermont it is time to take back our Republic. This is strictly a political move to keep the people of VT in the dark before the November Elections. If The Liberal/Progressive/Democrats tell the public what the cost is they would be run out of Montpelier. ARE THESE THE PEOPLE YOU WANT RUNNING YOUR STATE? If we allow this, come January we will see the largest tax increase the Sate of VT has ever seen. Start writing and calling your Representatives and Senators tell them you will not vote for them in November if they refuse to inform the citizens of VT what this will cost and how it will be paid for.
So this appears to prove they are no longer working for the people but continue to follow their own agenda. A vote of “Nay” should be our reply to their reelection bids in November.
This is Insanity, Plain and simple! We can’t afford this! The Whole ” Scheme” is like burning down the house to get rid of the mice.. My Reps ( Who voted “Nay”) are going to get an EARFULL
