The objective of the Communist Revolution was/is to “seize the means of production” from private industry and place it under the control of a centralized government.
We all know Bernie’s desire for a Medicare for All program, seizing the means of the healthcare industry (roughly 18% of GDP) and placing it firmly under the federal
government’s thumb.
But Bernie also proposed back in August that, in order to make meaningful strides towards a Green New Deal and its greenhouse gas reduction goals, that he would have to seize control of US energy production (just under 6% of GDP). (Fox News, 8/23/19)
In September, Sanders proposed a 2.5 trillion housing plan that included a proposal to impose national rent control, “capping annual rent increases throughout the country…” for all intents and purposes seizing control of the United States’ rental real-estate market. (WSJ, 9/29/19)
And just today, Sanders said he wants to make mandatory the public (in other words “government”) financing of elections, therefore seizing control of US political campaigns. “The Vermont senator said Monday that as president he’d enact mandatory public financing laws for all federal elections and ban corporate donations for inaugural events.” (WCAX, 10/7/19)
The government has already seized control of K-12 education, so no effort needed on Bernie’s part there, but his “free” college tuition would put government firmly in control of higher education as well.
So, in conclusion, Bernie’s America would put the government in control of your mind (school), your body (health), your housing (rent control), your mobility (energy), and your “democracy” (elections). Does this sound more like the U.S. Constitution, or the Communist Manifesto? That’s a rhetorical question, of course. We all know the answer.

Agree completely. But do not believe we will have to worry, that Bernie will be in the White House, instituting these changes, to government control. Not in our America!
If this is the case Irene, please tell me why Vermonters elect him time and time again. And no I do not support this communist.
There is an old adage that goes: “There are none so blind as those that will not see”, and methinks it is appropriate response to your question. On the facade, Bernie’s ideas have appeal. Free Healthcare. Clean Environment. Rent Control / Reduced Rent. Free College. It takes time and critical thinking to see beyond the facade; to recognize the media spin; to ask how it would be paid for; to consider who it would adversely effect; to ponder possible consequences.
Bernie needs to check into the Walter Reed Army Hospital. Although he is not a military veteran, it is FREE to him as a denizen of the DC swamp. A couple of stents, inserted in his head (brain?) might do wonders for his logic and thinking. We can always hope. If the procedure works, maybe the other two “Stooges” will follow.
Among the many pieces of sage advice offered by Winston Chirchill was if you want to forecast the future read history. Apparently Bernie can’t read or has chosen to ignore history. Suggest he check out China, Venezuela. Cuba, or for that matter the UK after Churchill left office. The Britts nationalized much of industry and the rail roads. That turned out to be an utter disaster. Bernie’s agenda is weird at best.
Stick a fork in Bernie he’s all done!
