21st Birthday Money Bomb!

EAImoneybomb2014 has been a big year at the Ethan Allen Institute, and today we are celebrating our 21st anniversary of fighting for liberty in Vermont.  Please help us move into the summer with strength by donating $21 and asking 21 of your friends to do the same.  However, any amount of support is greatly appreciated, be it $10, $20, $50, or $100. Click here to make a contribution today!

The Vermont Legislature’s assault on business, independent education, and taxpayers’ wallets has continued into the second half of the biennium.  In just two years, they have passed over $100 million worth of new property taxes, a moratorium on new independent schools is near passage, and despite Governor Shumlin’s refusal to produce a single-payer financing plan before the elections, it is looking like a new payroll tax of at least 17% will be imposed to pay for single-payer health care.

With all of this going on, it is vital that we double our efforts to hold the supermajority in Montpelier accountable to Vermonters’ interests.  In 2014, EAI has released 15 Roll Call Reports, has written over 10 op-eds for local Vermont newspapers, participated in a series of debates on Vermont’s education system, and helped in organizing activist in Burlington, Rutland, and Norwich.  We have an active web presence, with over 120 new likes on Facebook in 2014, and an active blog with entries from EAI writers, members, and followers.  We have provided an eye and a voice for Vermonters inside the State House daily through my addition to the team in July 2013.

But we can do more.  This summer, we are organizing a door-to-door polling operation to take EAI’s presence to the next level.  We are picking ten cities around the state, and surveying citizens on key issues important to Vermonters.  With this information we hope to build a winning free-market message in 2015 and beyond. To do this, we will need your help.  That’s why I am reaching out to you today, to ask that you help us with our 21st Birthday Money Bomb for the Ethan Allen Institute.  We hope you will help us by donating $21, and reaching out to 21 of your friends to do the same, and reach out to 21 of their friends, and so on.  With this help, we will have the resources to run an extensive survey program, as well as continued outreach through our Rotary presentations, Roll Call Profiles, and regular op-eds.Please help us move into the summer with strength by donating $21 and asking 21 of your friends to do the same.  However, any amount of support is greatly appreciated, be it $10, $20, $50, or $100. Click here to go to our website and make a contribution today! It is only with your help and support that the Ethan Allen Institute is able to do anything.

Thank you for all your help!

In Liberty,

Shayne William Spence

Please show proof that we have ever taken any money from the Koch brothers. We haven’t, so there is none, but I’m curious to see what you think you can come up with.

I don’t think you understand how making accusations work. The burden of proof is on the accuser, not the accused.
