The Ethan Allen Institute is supported by individuals, corporations, trusts and foundations, but does not solicit or accept government funding. The Institute is supported by the contributions of over 600 paid members. Members receive the Ethan Allen Letter 12 times a year, invitations to all events, periodic e-mail bulletins, and (on request) all publications.

The Institute is a section 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational organization, contributions to which are deductible under the Internal Revenue Code.
